Privacy, in plain words
ClickPlay does not keep your photos or videos. Media remains on your device or in the event host's connected cloud drive. ClickPlay stores only the account, event, permission and media-reference information needed to operate the service. Editing and creation happen in your browser.
Where your media travels
For shared events, media leaves the contributor's device only to travel directly to the host's chosen cloud drive (currently Google Drive). It does not pass through or rest on ClickPlay servers. The selected cloud provider processes and stores those files under its own terms — so for a shared event your media does leave your device, but it goes to the host's drive, not to us.
What we do store
Account details, event settings, member roles, invitation records and references to media files (names, sizes, approval status, captions, optional transcripts and compact waveform data for voice notes). Never the media itself, never thumbnails, never base64 copies.
What the AI can and cannot do
Optional assistance — blur detection, duplicate grouping, caption suggestions, transcription — runs in your browser wherever feasible. We never perform face recognition, never alter anyone's appearance, never fabricate event moments, and never send your photos or videos to remote AI services in the default product.
Deleting your event
Deleting a ClickPlay event removes our records, and you choose separately whether app-created files in your Drive folder should also be removed. Disconnecting Google Drive never silently deletes your files.
The full legal detail lives in our privacy policy.
